STAFF DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS create a safe environment which inspires three goals: greater awareness and freedom for the mover, deeper connection between staff members, guided study of the process for creation in the classroom.
As movement is integrated into classrooms, we cultivate more room for the “being” to grow and show.
Teachers are shown step-by-step how to apply dance, movement and games in the classroom:
• age appropriate activities
• how to transform a lesson to include movement
• how to distribute and use equipment
• how to lead, voice-over and conclude an activity
• how to work with children who are shy or hold back
• how to keep it alive in the classroom everyday
• group brainstorm using movement as our new vocabulary
Each STAFF DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP is designed to meet the needs of the group.
