By design, these events bring community together by providing an all out play session for staff or parents or parent/child pairs. Physical and creative expression is enjoyed through dance, music, storytelling, poetry and art. We build rapport and bond non-verbally, cooperatively. Personally and collectively the layers of shyness are shed and our comfort levels gently stretched. We open with laughter and release. Each event is individually created.
"The fun atmosphere allowed us to be ourselves and relax.
I had a great time playing all the games. It brought back fond memories of childhood. The “playshop’ is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the other parents, and the school staff, without our kids around to keep us in our ‘parent’ or ‘teacher’ boxes. I suggest having the playshop at the beginning of the school year, when parents are really anxious to know more about the teachers and other parents."
