Weekly meetings are never soon enough for this tight knit family of Gymtastics graduates. We build skill individually and collectively, guided by the interests of those enrolled. We
co-create with a unique blend of gymnastics, dance, yoga, movement, theater, games, relays, communication experiences, creative emergings, daily sharings, healing and more.
This class was inspired by graduating preschool students who wanted to continue taking Gymtastics classes. Therefore, many students enjoy a common background. Yet others join upon the suggestion of a friend. For these reasons, the skill sets are different. This class addresses a range of levels and learning styles in a supportive setting, with emphasis on working together.
Performances are held when the group decides we want an audience. This tends to occur twice a year.
“I feel good about the show because I did a good job and other people did too. Finally I learned how to do a headstand by myself.”
-Julia Keighley, age 6
"Dearest Peggy, Niamh woke-up so sad this morning at the thought her show was over already, but I know all she accomplished with the group will stay with her and grow with her. It is a rare, rare thing when a person of your gifts and talents is actually A TEACHER! Who else could offer Niamh such depth of experiences - physical, creative, social, spiritual - all in one little Tuesday class?
. . . as ever, your teaching is mind blowing. Your gift lives and gives in every child you teach. We will always be grateful for your role in Niamh’s early life- (what a lucky girl she is). We are so blessed in knowing you and that was one fabulous show!
P.S. The costumes! The work! THANK YOU! All our love, Maroon, Maureen, Niamh and Colm Tabbal"
-Maureen Keady Tabbal, parent and
teacher of hearing impaired children
"Peggy, She (J. Lucy ) realizes she can accomplish goals with effort and that practice can be fun. You are exceptionally gifted at talking to children, always getting them to give their best. Your teaching technique/style is amazing; I have learned a lot by listening to you. You have helped J. Lucy to learn even when she didn’t get it. You have helped me too." -Jill Tauber
parent
"I love watching you teach your classes; you are so interesting. I always feel inspired when I leave." -Ellen Levy,
parent
"I had the great pleasure to come to see one of your presentations which I really enjoyed. I think what you are doing is fantastic. It is exactly what our society needs right now." -Elizabeth Bank,
dance studio director
“When we were getting in our costumes and I said ‘oh my gosh’ three times I was going to scream I was so nervous. Then after the show I said we did it and Ashley kept saying I can’t believe we stayed up(headstands) And I was proud of myself after the show and so tired.” -Heather Evans, age 8
